The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism has created the policy against sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA). The ESNNA code and CUSCO ZIPLINE have an agreement for joint actions to prevent and eradicate said problem.
Said policy program for social development and protection of vulnerable populations is a broad and complex initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).
It consists of raising awareness and training the entire sector in our country with the aim of preventing and finally eliminating the sexual exploitation of minors. We have recently obtained the CALTUR Certification – Level 2, also from Mincetur, and we are aligned with the most demanding government regulations for optimal tourist quality.
Specifically in the case of authorized and certified tourism agencies such as CUSCO ZIPLINE , the ESNNA program requests adherence to a Code of Conduct, which is signed with the Mincetur. It requires the company to disclose this initiative, its standards and objectives. Likewise, that adequate training of personnel and suppliers be carried out. Of course, the company undertakes to work following all the requirements of the Code.
Unfortunately, in Peru the trafficking of minors is a critical problem, but it is being combated. By carrying out ethically responsible tourism, CUSCO ZIPLINE leads to development, economic activity and improvement of the standard of living in the destinations we visit. Along these lines, our commitment to the SEC program also means that we help reduce and eradicate the sexual exploitation of minors.
Adherence to the Code of Conduct of the SEC program commits us to constantly put into practice a series of actions that are carried out and reinforced as part of the activities.
Our office staff, as well as the logistics staff (guides, cooks, drivers, porters) are already duly trained to contribute to the Code of Conduct. The tourist, whether national or foreign, is not offered in any way nor is any request regarding sex tourism with children or adolescents accepted, for both ethical and legal reasons.
Along the same lines, we act together with our partners (hotels, restaurants, etc. and all of their staff) so that the objectives and commitments with the ESNNA program are met in all sectors and stages of the tourism services we provide.
All of us in CUSCO ZIPLINE and likewise, the partners in our operations are committed to enforcing the ENNSA Code of Conduct and denouncing the authorities when necessary.
The actions of the ESNNA code and CUSCO ZIPLINE stand out and have priority within our social responsibility policies. We seek that tourism be an activity that leaves only benefits for the region and the country, according to what is stipulated in the mission, vision and
